INEZ — Judge Brett Butcher heard the following cases Nov. 10 in Martin District Court:

Zachary Delong (motion to set aside failure to appear) — Operating vehicle with expired operator’s license; no/expired registration plates; no/expired Kentucky registration receipt; improper registration plate; failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, first: Pleaded not guilty, pretrial conference 2/3/26 at 10 a.m.

Zachary Colton Delong (motion to set aside failure to appear) — Operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license; failure to issue insurance card: Pleaded not guilty, pretrial conference 2/3/26 at 10 a.m.

James Richard Maynard (arraignment) — Possession of marijuana; possession of controlled substance, second degree, drug unspecified; operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license; no/expired registration plates: Pleaded not guilty, pretrial conference 12/9/25 at 10 a.m.

Leigh Ann Marquez (arraignment) — Alcohol intoxication in a public place, first and second offense; endangering the welfare of a minor: Pleaded not guilty, pretrial conference 12/9/25 at 9 a.m.

Brittany Preston (24-M-142, 24-M-162) — Passed generally, released from custody 11/10/25.

William Preston (24-M-161) — Passed generally.

Steven Farnham (pretrial conference) — Public intoxication of a controlled substance (excludes alcohol): Five days to serve, credit five days, waived court cost, release bond to surety.

Justin Marcum (show cause hearing) — Unlawful imprisonment, second degree: Reset 12/9/25 at 10 a.m.

Kendrick Sartin (contempt hearing) — Truancy-student 18 but not yet 21: Dismissed, completed GED.

Kendrick Sartin (contempt hearing) ­— 1. Assault, fourth degree (domestic violence), minor injury; 2. Assault, fourth degree (domestic violence), minor injury: Pleaded guilty to both charges, six months to serve on each, sentences probated over two years if no new violation.
