INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:
Shawn Hopkins, 30, of Inez, was arrested Tuesday on Doug Johnson Lane in Inez on an indictment warrant and four bench warrants for court. Deputy Steven Putman served the warrants.
Lonnie Ray Jude, of Debord, was arrested Tuesday on Route 1714 in Lovely on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of controlled substance and failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance. Deputy J.C. Kirk reported that Jude crossed the center line several times, going into the other lane of traffic. According to the police report, Jude had slurred speech and glossy eyes and failed the sobriety test.
David Maynard, 27, of Clay City, was arrested Monday on Pigeon Roost Road in Pilgrim on a warrant from another police agency. Constable Brad Preece served the warrant.
John Marcum, of Lovely, was arrested Sunday on Route 292 in Lovely on charges of careless driving and operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license. Deputy Putman was patrolling when he got behind Marcum driving a silver PT Cruiser. The report states that Marcum was riding the yellow line and crossing into the other lane.
Charlene Carter, of Debord, was arrested Saturday on Route 1714 in Lovely on charges of possession of a controlled substance, first degree (methamphetamine) and public intoxication-controlled substance (excludes alcohol). Deputy Jameson Wall reported that Carter was a passenger in a vehicle at a traffic stop and was “manifestly under the influence.” The police report states that as officers were placing Carter into the jailer’s transport cruiser, a bag of a crystal-like substance came out of her shoe. She allegedly said it was in the shoe, but the shoes were not hers. The substance weighed approximately 17 grams, police said.
Alisha Jude, 31, of Inez, was arrested Thursday on Sansom Drive in Inez on a bench warrant from Floyd County. Deputy Wall served the warrant.
Donald Delong, 46, of Martin County, was arrested Thursday on Setser Branch in Davella on a probation violation for a felony offense. Deputy Putman made the arrest.
Sidney Webb, 30 of Lovely, was arrested Oct. 29 at Dempsey Housing in Warfield on a bench warrant. Deputy Putman served the warrant.
Jonathan James Pack, 39, of Kermit, West Virginia, was arrested Oct. 29 in Inez on a warrant for court.
Kevin Litton, 46, of Inez, was arrested Oct. 28 on Spence Branch in Inez on a warrant for court. Deputy Putman served the warrant.
