GREENVILLE, S.C. — Martin County newcomer Braxton Keathley spent his day Oct. 25 soaking up a big-time basketball atmosphere. The 2027 top recruit attended a sold-out matchup between Furman and Alabama as part of a game day visit at Furman University in South Carolina.

The 6-foot-5, 190-pound point guard is entering his first season with the Cardinals and arrives with major credentials. Keathley led Kentucky in four statistical categories last season. The 15th Region’s top-rated player averaged 34.3 points per game, 92.3% at the charity stripe, and led the state in free throws made and two-point field goals.
