Chalice Slone
1948—2025

Chalice Slone, 77, of Proctorville, Ohio, formerly of Pilgrim, Kentucky, passed away Sept. 29, 2025.

Born Sept. 19, 1948, in Martin County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Harrison Slone Jr. and Elizabeth (Maynard) Slone.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Alice (Jude) Slone.

Chalice was a retired coal miner who worked hard to provide for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother whose strength and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is survived by his son, Chalice Lee (Lowanda) Slone Jr.; grandchildren, David Slone and Ryan (Zoë) Sartin-Slone; and his brothers, Harold (Diane) Slone and Danny (Debbie) Slone.

Funeral services took place Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, at the Callaham Funeral Home in Inez with Lonnie Smith officiating. Burial followed at Jude Cemetery in Pilgrim, Kentucky. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
