Betty Lou Sheppard
1944—2025

Betty Lou Sheppard, age 81, of Kermit, West Virginia, passed away Sept. 17, 2025.

She was born April 17, 1944, to the late Lafayette and Lillian Brumfield.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Jack; brothers William Brumfield, Elden Brumfield; sisters Carol Meade, Rose Bickford and Leola Stout.

She is survived by two sons, Scott and Bryan; two daughters, Carolyn and Teresa; brothers Frank Brumfield and Chester Brumfield; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and so many other family and friends.

Betty was a caretaker and retired from Coalfield Cap. She was a member of the Neeley Branch United Baptist Church.

Funeral services took place Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, with Marty Brumfield officiating. Burial followed at Newsome Ridge Cemetery in Naugatuck. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
