Georgia Rose Brewer Obituary

Georgia Rose Brewer
1938—2025

Georgia Rose Brewer, 87, of Kermit, West Virginia, departed from this life and crossed over onto Heaven’s Great Shores on Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, at Kings Daughters Medical Center, surrounded by loved ones.

Born May 27, 1938, in Kermit, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Florence Rose.

Georgia was not only a mother, grandmother and friend (although those were some of her best roles), she was a devout child of God who loved and served the Lord fiercely with all of her heart for nearly 70 years. She paved a path full of prayers for her family to follow and lean upon throughout their lives, which they fully believe will carry on even through her absence. Her love for her family ran deep, with the roots being the glue that held them together.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Lee Bob Brewer, and special son-in-law, Ira Hodge.

Georgia leaves behind a whole host of family and friends who will feel her absence with each passing day. Especially her five children, Robert (Ethel) Brewer, Debbie (Eugene) Moore, Amos (Ann) Brewer, Jeanie (Tommy) and Lisa (Chris), all of Kermit; her 12 grandchildren, Ray (Tiffany) Brewer, Jason (Rita) Hodge, Bobby Brewer, Kandrea (Channing) Meade, Melinda (DA) Bragg, Brad (Ruby) Hatfield, Josh Hatfield, Robin (Chris) Johnson, Georgia (Jerry) Carter, Kalista (Cody) Adkins, Ethan (Camryn) Fletcher and Arionna Brewer; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral Services were conducted Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, at Mullins Family Funeral Home, Warfield, with her grandson, Jason Hodge, officiating. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
