INEZ — Crayson Lafferty is the America’s Quickmart of Blacklog Player of the Week.

Lafferty put together a performance for the ages Friday night, leading Martin County to a dramatic 42-41 overtime win over Knox Central in the Harvest Bowl.

The junior carried the ball 23 times for 149 yards and four touchdowns. He also converted a 2-point attempt in the first quarter by diving over a pile at the goal line.

“Bones” anchored the Cardinals defense with a game-high 22 total tackles. Fifteen were solo while he assisted on seven. Additionally, he had two tackles for loss.

Lafferty delivered several crucial stops, including a first-half stuff on a 2-point conversion and a fourth-quarter tackle for a loss inside the red zone.

He was unstoppable in overtime, dragging defenders to the 1-yard line before punching in what proved to be the game-winning score.
