WARFIELD — Kentucky State Police have issued a Golden Alert for a 73-year-old Martin County man who disappeared after leaving his home Wednesday morning.
Authorities said Earnest Dingess of Warfield left his residence on Dingess Road around 7 a.m. Sept. 10.
Dingess’ daughter, Tabatha Dingess, said her father told family members he planned to go digging roots.
“He said up Kermit Coal or Marrowbone,” Tabatha said. “They saw him at Western Auto in Kermit around 10:30 a.m. headed towards East Kermit.”
Dingess was driving a gold-colored 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer.
He is described as white, 5 feet 11 inches tall, about 190 pounds, with blue eyes.
Police noted that he is diabetic and in need of insulin.
