INEZ — The Kiwanis Club unveiled the 2025 Harvest Fest Quilt on Thursday during its meeting at Giovanni’s in Inez, presenting a handmade piece that captures the colors and motifs of autumn.
The quilt, hand-pieced by Connie Harless and quilted by Sherry Burchett at Quilter’s Playhouse, features bright orange patchwork pumpkins set against a cream background. The design alternates pumpkin blocks with clusters of oak leaves, acorns and blossoms in red, yellow and purple, all stitched with precise quilting. A teal-green plaid border frames the work, giving it a crisp seasonal finish.
Chances to win the quilt are available through Sept. 11 at First State Bank in Inez and again Sept. 12–13 at the General Store porch on Court Street during the Harvest Festival. They are also available via PayPal @martincountykiwanis (please put “quilt donation” in the note section).
A $1 donation gets you one chance to win; a $5 donation secures six chances.
The drawing will take place Sept. 13 during the festival.
