INEZ — The former Martin County Courthouse opened its doors to history Saturday as it hosted its first wedding since reopening as a wedding and event venue earlier this year.
Gracie Presley and Jonathan Fitch became the first couple to exchange vows since the reopening.
Friends and family filled the chamber, once a place of justice and government and now a setting of flowers, laughter and promise.

When the ceremony ended, the celebration spilled outside onto Shop Street. Strings of lights glowed above tables as guests dined, danced and toasted the newlyweds beneath the late-summer sky.
