Nicholas Speer, 11, of Beauty, passed away at his home Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025.

He was born March 20, 2014, in Huntington, West Virginia, to Patrick Speer and Christina Messer.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bill Kirk and Reese Messer.

Nicholas is survived by his parents, Christina (Danny Blevins) Messer and Patrick (Dana) Speer; siblings Braxton Speer, Sammy Allen, Jonathan Allen, Ethan Blevins and Breanna Blevins. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Leslie Speer and Jack Benny Runyon, Zane Speer and George Spence; a host of aunts and uncles, Harrison and Idella Messer, Greta and Bill Gibson, William Messer, Zach and Tiffany Speer, Amanda Marcum, Trish and BoBo Spurlock and Jerry Scooter Richardson; along with his extended family and the Warfield Volunteer Fire Department.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025 at the Marrowbone Freewill Baptist Church with Freddie Messer officiating. Burial followed at the Warfield Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
