Martin County youth tops Fairview

INEZ — Explosive plays carried the Martin County youth A-team to a 24-6 victory over Fairview at home Saturday morning.

Raylan Preston got the Cardinals rolling with a 75-yard touchdown run. Jonah McCoy followed with a 60-yard scoring burst.

Nolan Muncy added another long run after he broke free for a 45-yard touchdown.

Quarterback Blaine Williams connected with Bentlee Copley on a 70-yard touchdown strike to round out the scoring for Martin County.

Defensively, the Cardinals held Fairview in check for most of the game. Landon Parsley led the way with six tackles.

The Cardinals will host Boyd County on Aug. 24 at The Rock.
