Dewey Jude
1954—2025

Dewey Jude, age 70, of Inez, passed away Friday, Aug. 15, 2025, at his daughter’s residence.

Born Sept. 1, 1954, in Martin County, he was the son of the late Warren G. Jude and Annie Howell Jude.

In addition to his mother and father, Dewey is preceded in death by his loving wife, Rhodene Jude; beloved son, Dewey Michael Jude; stepmother, Sally Reed McCoy Jude; two brothers, Louie Jude and J.T. Jude; and one sister, Wilma Spaulding.

He is survived by his special daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie Melissa Jude Maynard and Cecil Maynard of Pilgrim; five brothers, Woody Jude, Doug Jude, Darrell Jude, all of Pilgrim, Julius Jude of Flatwoods and Mickey Jude of Inez; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jessie (Gladys), Blake, Kelli, Ashley (Nate), Tom, Tyler, Brentley, Faith, Hope, Riley and Carolina Rose, Ray Ray and Tempest. Many other family and friends also survive.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, at the Sidney Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial followed at the Fletcher Cemetery, Pilgrim. Arrangements are under the direction of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home.
