Motorcyle crash kills Floyd County man, injures passenger

TEABERRY — A motorcycle crash claimed the life of a Floyd County man Thursday afternoon and injured a passenger, Kentucky State Police said.

Troopers responded around 3:18 p.m. to Kentucky Route 979 in the Teaberry community after a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle struck a concrete culvert. The driver, Kyle Hall, died at the scene, the Floyd County coroner said.

Emergency crews transported the passenger to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Trooper Keithan Hamilton is investigating the collision with assistance from Post 9 personnel, the Mud Creek Volunteer Fire Department and Lifeguard Ambulance Service.
