
INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:

Crum Marcum, 48, of Inez, was arrested Tuesday on Little Laurel Creek in Inez on charges of third-degree assault of a police officer, fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) causing minor injury, resisting arrest, first-degree criminal mischief-restitution/repair, first-degree disorderly conduct and violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO.
Deputy Jameson Wall responded to a domestic in progress on Little Laurel. When the officer arrived, Marcum emerged from the woods where he had been hiding from deputies after allegedly fighting with his wife.
The deputy noted that Marcum was “highly intoxicated.” When Deputy Wall attempted to handcuff the suspect, Marcum began fighting and screaming, and slapped the deputy on the side of the head. According to the report, the deputy “dry-stunned” Marcum with his Taser. At that point, Marcum went headfirst into the bumper of the police cruiser, busting his forehead. Yet he continued to resist.
Ultimately, the officer got Marcum in the back of the cruiser, where Marcum banged his head on the cage and kicked the window, damaging the door of the cruiser. While in custody, Marcum allegedly threatened deputies and their families.

Teresa Marcum, 46, of Ohio, was arrested Tuesday on Little Laurel Creek in Inez on charges of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) causing minor injury, resisting arrest, first-degree criminal mischief-restitution/repair and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
Deputy Steven Putman arrived at the scene of a domestic on Little Laurel Creek to back up Deputy Wall. The officer stated that when he arrived, he put Teresa Marcum in his cruiser, where she kicked his doors, windows and case. She made several threats, screaming at Putman and fighting him in the booking room at the sheriff’s office.

Roy Goble, 50, of Lovely, was arrested Monday on Route 292 on an indictment warrant charging him with first-degree possession of controlled substances (methamphetamine). Deputy Putman served the warrant.

Patrick Gibbs, 48, of Pilgrim, was arrested Monday on North Wolf Creek Road in Lovely on a bench warrant from Floyd County. Sheriff Kirk served the warrant.

Louellen Jennings, 45, of Pilgrim, was arrested Monday on Emily Creek Road in Pilgrim on a charge of fugitive from another state – warrant required. Deputy Wall made the arrest.

Anna Hall, 47, of Inez, was arrested Friday on McKinney Road in Inez for terroristic threatening.
Constable Bradford Preece reported that he and Deputy Jimmy Robinson responded to a call about a gas line and land dispute in progress.
“Dispatch advised ‘a lady had a knife attached to a stick,’” Preece noted in his report.

Luresia Copley-Whitt, 33, of Inez, was arrested Friday at Riverside Apartments in Warfield on a bench warrant for court. Deputy Wall served the warrant at 2:15 p.m.

Steven Ray Marcum, 33, of Lovely, was arrested Thursday on North Wolf Creek Road, Lovely, for driving on a DUI-suspended license, drug paraphernalia-buy/possession, and a fugitive from another state – warrant required in a felony case.
Deputy Putman noted that during a traffic stop he observed a glass pipe sticking out of a handbag on the floorboard of the vehicle Marcum was driving. Chief Deputy Chris Kidd later charged Marcum with being a fugitive from another state during booking.

Joe Evans, 51, of Inez, was arrested Thursday for second-degree assault (domestic violence.

Heather Goff, 36, of Lexington, was arrested Aug. 5 on Marcum Hollow in Beauty on charges of public intoxication-controlled substance (excludes alcohol).
Deputy Putman received a call from dispatch requesting backup for another officer. According to the police report, the other officer encountered Goff, who fled on foot to a nearby residence, running onto the porch.
Putman noted that Goff had glossy, red eyes and dilated pupils and that her balance was very unsteady. He took her into custody at 10:47 p.m.

Fred Thomas Daniels Jr., 32, of Tomahawk, was arrested Aug. 5 at the Country Store on New Route 3 in Inez on two warrants for court. Deputy Putman served the warrant.
