INEZ — Martin Circuit Court formally charged a Louisa man in a felony meth case July 29 under the Rocket Docket program.
Jeff Brandon Marcum, 39, faces charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Prosecutors allege that authorities found methamphetamine and syringes in his possession July 17.
Judge J. Kevin Holbrook ordered Marcum to appear Aug. 7 for arraignment.
The Rocket Docket program bypasses the grand jury process in non-violent felony drug cases. Its goal is to reduce pretrial jail time and move eligible defendants more quickly into substance abuse treatment.
