Williams serves with 14U tennis crown

PIKEVILLE — Eden Elementary fourth-grader Remy Williams put on a clinic in the 52nd Annual 2025 Kenny Huffman Tennis Classic at Bob Amos Park this past weekend. The multi-sport athlete was crowned champion in the 14U girls singles bracket and finished as runner-up in the 16U bracket.

Williams faced Alyssa Tackett in a Saturday matchup. The Eden Wildcat handed her opponent a 6-0 win in straight sets.

The championship match saw Williams win a hard-fought first set 7-5 before retiring Danika Phipps in the second.

Competing in an age bracket six years above her usual group, she secured a runner-up finish against Audrey Turner.
