LOVELY — A man remains in jail after authorities say he assaulted two women, one of whom was pregnant, during a domestic incident Monday in Lovely.
Martin County Chief Deputy Sheriff Chris Kidd arrested Kendrick Sartin, 18, of Lovely, for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) causing minor injury, after responding to a residence on KY-292 in Lovely.
Kidd said a 911 caller reported that Sartin had shoved a pregnant female at the home at around 2:45 p.m.
When deputies arrived, they say the caller met them on the porch, bleeding and “holding a rag over the left side of her head.”
The woman told deputies that Sartin struck her in the head with a closed fist, the police report states.
On Tuesday, Sartin was in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on a $1,000 bond.
