Martin County football to debut at midnight practice

INEZ — Martin County High School’s football program will launch its season with a “First Flight” midnight practice. The event starts July 31 and runs into the early hours of Wednesday, Aug. 1 at The Rock.

The first glimpse at this year’s Cardinals will feature the first official practice in full pads beginning at midnight.

The youth league will take the field at 10 p.m. followed by the middle school team at 11 p.m.

The high-energy event is free and open to the public. Fans are encouraged to attend and support the Cardinals as they kick off the new season.

“As the clock strikes midnight, our Cardinals will hit the field, showcasing the grit, heart and determination that define our team,” the team said in a release.
