INEZ — Music, mics and mouthwatering eats will fill Court Street this Friday as Summer Jam Sessions return to downtown Inez for round 2 of the series.

Set for 6 p.m., the July 18 jam will spotlight country/pop music led by none other than local favorite Jack Ward & The Postmen. Organizers say the stage is open to all, so grab your instrument and join in the fun.

This free community event invites music lovers of all ages to bring a chair or blanket, settle in under the summer sky and enjoy an evening of local talent and charm.

Angie’s Blooming Onions will be dishing out crowd favorites. Think Philly steaks, blooming onions, funnel cakes and more. The Kiwanis Club will serve its legendary hand-squeezed lemonade, a perfect cool-down on a July evening.

The third and final session of the summer is slated for Aug. 15 featuring gospel music. A faith-filled lineup of gospel performers includes The Journeymen, The Jewell Family, the IFB Choir and the Tabernacle Praise Team.

Heavenly Hotdogs and the Kiwanis lemonade stand will return for the grand finale.

Sponsored by Martin County Tourism, the Summer Jam Sessions launched June 20 with an evening of toe-tapping bluegrass.
