Ruth Ellen (Fletcher) Castle
1955—2025

Ruth Ellen (Fletcher) Castle, 70, of Inez, passed away June 22, 2025, at Highlands ARH surrounded by her family.

She was born Feb. 6, 1955, to the late Shadle and Lizzie Fletcher.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters and son-in-law James D Scott.

She is survived by her husband Jerry and children Jimmy (Sabrina)Jude, Mary Scott, Alan Castle and Edith Castle; grandchildren Jimmy, Austin, Teira (Joey), Carrie (Austin), Bessie, Mary and Lucas; great-grandkids Jayden J, Jordyn, Jensyn, Ariah, Emalyn, Jameson, Evelyn, Tinsley, Brayson and one on the way. She is also survived by Malissa, Zach, Jayden N, Jalynn, Jonah, and Jullian Newsome, who were like her other children and grandchildren. Additional survivors include siblings Ruby (Willard), Herb (Edna), Edgar (Mary), Carma, Wanda (Johnny) and Arthur (Dolly), and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services took place Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Martin County Freewill Baptist Church in Pilgrim, with Henry Jude officiating. Burial followed at the Jude-Fletcher Cemetery. Mullins Family Funeral Home of Warfield is honored to serve the family.
