PILGRIM — A woman landed behind bars Monday after allegedly barging into a home and assaulting another woman with a kitchen pan.
Authorities say 35-year-old Kayla Jude of Inez forced her way into the house on Cassius Moore Road around 12:30 p.m. Monday while the victim was in the shower.
The confrontation turned violent in the kitchen, where Jude reportedly used a pan to strike the woman in the head and face.
Martin County Sheriff’s Deputy Jameson Walls tracked Jude down in Pilgrim and arrested her at around 9:30 p.m.
Jude faces charges of burglary and assault.
