Nancy Carol (Nunley) Newsome

Nancy Carol (Nunley) Newsome, age 79, of Inez, passed away June 29, 2025, at Highlands ARH in Prestonsburg.

She was born Nov. 29, 1945, to the late Kinsor and Celia (Davis) Nunley in Naugatuck, West Virginia.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Newsome, one brother, Kinsor Nunley Jr, and one sister, Dorothy Smitty. She is survived by two sons, Mark (Janna) Newsome of Inez and Timothy Newsome of Floyd County, one brother, Ralph Nunley of Ohio, one sister, Connie Waylen of Ohio, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home, Inez, with Tommy Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Ross Cemetery in Rush. Friends may visit the funeral home on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
