Ethel Ellen Haney
1946—2025

Ethel Ellen Haney (78) of Stonecoal, West Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the Hospice of Huntington.

She was born Dec. 6, 1946, in Logan, West Virginia, to Sampson and Florence Haney.

Ethel was beloved by her family. She loved the Lord with all her heart. She enjoyed spending time with her family as well as paintings and flowers. She will be remembered every time we place a vinyl on a record player.

Ethel was a member of the Perry Point Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Bettrina Jane Justice, sister Shirley Mae Jackson, nephews Steven Jackson and Jamie Haney, and niece Julie White.

Ethel is survived by her daughter Rhonda (John) Spaulding; sons Timmy (Crystal) Justice, Michael (Erma) Justice and Brandon Justice; grandchildren Robbie (Sabrina) Prince, Austin (Sarah) Justice, David Browning, Britnee (Dallas) Hall, Alisha Justice and Lydia Justice; great-grandchildren Eli Justice, Asher Prince, Deagan Hall, Luca Prince, Jaxxon Hall, Brilee Hall and Kinzle Justice; brother Sampson (Sandra) Haney Jr.; sister Betty Haney; nieces Theresa Dillon and Jade (Shane) Brumfield; as well as a host of great nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ethel’s life was celebrated with a funeral service Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Golden Springs Freewill Baptist in Stonecoal, with Joe Maynard officiating. Burial followed at the family cemetery on Perry Ridge, Wilsondale. Mullins Family Funeral Home of Warfield is honored to serve the family.
