Devan Maynard adds another college offer

INEZ — Devan Maynard of Martin County added another college offer to his expanding list. Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College extended an official offer last week to the 6-foot-4, 210-pound Cardinal quarterback.

The multi-sport athlete excels on both sides of the ball. On the defensive end, he finished second in the state of Kentucky in Class 2A with eight interceptions. He led the way with 274 return yards and had two pick-sixes.

Maynard is known for escaping defenses as a quarterback. He was ranked 15th in rushing with 1189 total yards on his way to scoring 21 touchdowns.

He ranked 26th in passing and sixth in scoring the pigskin.

Maynard has attended camps at Kentucky Christian University, Lindsey Wilson College, West Virginia University, the University of Pikeville, Midway, Marshall University and Kentucky Wesleyan, as well as the Blue-Grey All-American Combine at Centre College.

He has offers from Midway, UPIKE, Kentucky Christian University and Kentucky Wesleyan.

Maynard also received an invitation to play in the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl in Dallas on Dec. 15.
