Connie Sue Spence
1958—2025

Connie Sue Spence, 66, of Inez, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg.

Born July 11, 1958, in Leesville, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Lackey.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Louise Barton.

Connie is survived by her husband, Orville Spence; three children, Amanda Sue York of Belfrey, Orville Josh Spence of Inez, Cassandra Marcum of Louisa and Richard Lackey of Texas; and six grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Eva Barton of Paintsville.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 27, 2025, at the Callaham Funeral Home in Inez. Burial followed at the Spence Cemetery under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home.
