INEZ — The Coach Glenn Skills Academy recently concluded its 11th year bringing together young soccer enthusiasts and even college-level graduates at Cardinal Stadium from June 17-19.
The camp focused on fundamental skills and has become a staple for aspiring athletes in the community.
Steven Gauze, head coach at Martin County High School, highlighted the camp’s enduring appeal.
“We have been doing this camp for 11 years now,” Gauze said. “It is open to kids of all ages and skill levels. Over the last few years, I have loved that graduates playing in college come home to attend the camp.”

This year’s camp featured two distinct sessions to accommodate different age groups: one for 5- to 10-year-olds and another for participants aged 11 and up ensuring tailored instruction.
“We started camp to focus on skills of dribbling, passing and shooting and the kids loved it,” said Gauze
