NAUGATUCK, W.Va. — The Tug Valley Panthers hosted the Belfry Pirates for some summertime basketball this past week.

High School teams throughout the region have been attending summer camps and hosting scrimmage games as coaches take their players through summer workouts.

Teams are allowed a certain amount of days to practice in the summer before the “dead” period. Then football practice starts in Kentucky the last week of July and the first week of August in West Virginia.
