Joyce Ferrell, 71, of Georgetown, passed away June 19, 2025, at home, surrounded by loved ones.

Joyce was a nursing assistant at the Martin County Nursing Home. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Ferrell; one grandson, William Edward Ferrell (Eddie); three brothers, Charles Warrix, Verlian Warrix and Willard Marcum (Rub); and one sister, Shelia Marcum.

Survivors include Joyce’s son William (Carolyn) Ferrell and daughter Angela Goble, both of Georgetown, and daughter Tonia Ferrell of Lousia. She was a loving grandmother to nine grandkids and eight great-grandkids. She also leaves behind one sister, Shirley Evans and one brother, Ralph Warrix, both of Texas, a host of nieces and nephews, and two sisters-in-law, Lisa Marcum and Sue Warrix.

Funeral services took place at the Zion United Baptist Church (called Pack Bottom) in Inez on Monday, June 23, 2025, with Joe Mullins officiating. Burial followed at the Newsome Ridge Cemetery in Naugatuck, West Virginia. Mullins Family Funeral Home of Warfield is honored to serve the family.
