INEZ — The Martin Circuit Court issued formal criminal charges June 18 against a Lovely woman under the court’s Rocket Docket program.
Tammy Johnson, 59, is charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, first and second offense, and first-degree wanton endangerment.
According to the Commonwealth’s Attorney, Johnson was under the influence of alcohol in a public setting May 26 to a degree that endangered herself, others or property and caused unreasonable annoyance to those nearby. The court information also alleges that her conduct created a substantial danger to an individual identified as Tabby Scott.
Circuit Judge J. Kevin Holbrook set Johnson’s arraignment for July 17.
Rocket Docket is a fast-track court program that expedites the handling of non-violent or low-level criminal cases. Often the program steers defendants into treatment or pretrial services while reducing jail time.
