INEZ — Deputies arrested a Tomahawk man Friday after finding him sitting in his vehicle with a loaded gun outside a medical office in Inez.

Martin County Chief Deputy Sheriff Chris Kidd responded to Ohio Valley Physicians on Blacklog Road after employees reported a trespasser who refused to leave. When Kidd arrived, he found 45-year-old Lonnie Robinson sitting in the passenger seat of his vehicle parked outside the clinic’s front entrance.

“When he opened the door, I saw a revolver handgun sitting in plain view on the console,” Kidd said.

Employees asked Robinson to leave the property, but he stayed parked in front of the building watching the door, police said. The employees locked the entrance and called 911.

Law enforcement had already encountered Robinson earlier that day in connection with a domestic 911 call. Deputies determined that the other party involved in that incident was an employee at the clinic.

Deputies charged Robinson with criminal trespassing.
