INEZ — A bluegrass jam session will kick off a new summer series this Friday at Courthouse Square in Inez.
Hosted by Martin County Tourism and Recreation, the Summer Jam Sessions are free and open to the public, encouraging everyone to bring an instrument and take part.
Live music will start at 6 p.m. Friday with an opening set by Jared Goforth and others. Cassady’s BBQ and Kiwanis Lemonade will be on hand to sell food and drinks at this week’s event.
The second jam session, set for July 18, will feature country pop music with an opening set by Jack Ward & The Postmen. Angie’s Blooming Onions will serve food, while the Kiwanis Club will sell lemonade that evening.
Again, bring an instrument and join in.
The final installment, on Aug. 15, will be a gospel music jam session. Featured performers include The Journeymen, The Jewell Family, the IFB Choir, and the Tabernacle Praise Team. Heavenly Hotdogs and other vendors will be on-site.
