INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:

Shawn Douglas Hopkins, 30, of Inez, was arrested Monday at Horn’s BP on KY-645 on two bench warrants for court. Deputy Steven Putman served the warrants at 7:17 p.m.

Ance Marcum, 38, of Warfield, was arrested Sunday at Dempsey Housing in Warfield on a charge of assault, fourth degree (domestic violence), minor injury. Deputy J. Wall arrested Marcum just after midnight. According to the police report, Marcum stated he and his sister were wrestling outside the apartments over his keys. The officer noted the female had marks on her neck.

Thomas Wood, 47, of Inez, was arrested Sunday on Delong Fannin Road in Inez on charges of leaving the scene of an accident-failure to render aid or assistance and drug paraphernalia-buy-possession.
Deputy Putman responded to the scene of a car accident on Delong Fannin Road around 1:47 a.m. Upon the deputy’s arrival at the scene where a white Jeep Wrangler had wrecked over an embankment, the driver was nowhere in sight. Rescue personnel told the officer that they heard someone close to the creek bank yelling for help.
Putman said he walked along the creek bank yelling for the driver for a distance of about 800 feet.
“He responded, ‘Leave me alone or I will jump,’” Putman said. “I looked up and the male subject was 30 feet off the ground in a tree the size of a phone pole. He stated he had three or four raccoons after him so he ran up the tree.”
Wood reportedly said he had backed his Jeep over the hill while trying to turn around in the road.

Clayton Jude, 51, of Pilgrim, was arrested for criminal trespassing Saturday in Warfield.
Constable Bradford Preece responded to a caller saying Jude was in front of Warfield Zip Zone talking to himself and waving a knife around customers. Law enforcement found Jude upstairs in the former Warfield Furniture store. He allegedly showed police the knife he was swinging.

Kenis Casey Bishop, 44, of Beauty, faces charges of alcohol intoxication in a public place, resisting arrest and menacing following his arrest Friday at Riverside Apartments in Hode.
Deputy Jimmy Robinson responded to a report of a man knocking on residents’ doors. The officer arrived to find Bishop doing exactly that. The deputy noted in his report that Bishop appeared intoxicated, with slurred speech and difficulty maintaining his balance.
As Robinson attempted to confirm Bishop’s identity, the suspect allegedly became confrontational—lunging to grab the ID from the deputy’s hand and raising his voice. Robinson took Bishop to the ground as the situation escalated. Several neighbors witnessed the struggle and stepped in to help, the police report says.
Deputy J.C. Kirk soon arrived to assist. Deputy Kirk reported that Bishop was too impaired to complete a field sobriety test. Bishop allegedly admitted to drinking, going door to door, and arguing with Deputy Robinson.
Deputies placed Bishop under arrest at 3:51 a.m.

Jeremy Williams, 32, of Kermit, West Virginia, was arrested Friday on Main Street in Inez on a warrant charging him with fleeing or evading police, first degree. Deputy Cody Tash served the warrant.

He faces multiple charges, including first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with physical evidence, public intoxication (controlled substance), and a bench warrant for a prior court case.
Deputy Putman responded to a call about a man standing in the roadway at Rockhouse. When he arrived, Putman observed Mollett in the center of the road, dancing and talking to himself. Mollett reportedly told the deputy he might have a warrant, which dispatch confirmed.
As Putman exited his cruiser, he saw Mollett move toward the vehicle’s passenger side and throw an object.
“He admitted to throwing ‘dope,’” Putman said. “He admitted he was high on ‘meth.’”
A subsequent search of Mollette allegedly uncovered a pipe consistent with methamphetamine use.

Tammy Johnson, 59, of Lovely, faces charges of first-degree disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and alcohol intoxication in a public place following her arrest Thursday in Lovely.
Deputy J.C. Kirk said he was dispatched to a home on First Street following a report that Johnson was attempting to break the windshield of her daughter’s vehicle. When he arrived, he found Johnson leaning out of a window in her home, shouting profanities and telling her daughter not to speak with law enforcement.
Neighbors and children were present outside during the incident, according to the arrest citation.
Despite being instructed by law enforcement to remain inside, Johnson reportedly exited the home and stepped onto the porch. At that point she resisted arrest, police said.
