Eliza Jane Marcum
1950—2025

In loving memory of Eliza Jane Marcum, 74, of Breeden, West Virginia. She departed this life Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at her residence.

Eliza was born Nov. 7, 1950, to the late Josephine and Ott Baisden.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Flem Marcum Jr. and brothers, Lee Baisden and Carlos Baisden.

Those left to cherish Eliza’s memory include her two daughters; Anna (Jerry) Vance of Breeden, West Virginia, Telisa (John) Ramsey of Breeden, West Virginia; grandchildren; Racine (Johnathon) Osborne of Warfield, Cody Gilman of Lenore, West Virginia, Dennis Vance of Dingess, West Virginia, Destiney (Christopher) Keene of Shelbiana, Dixie Ramey of Breeden, West Virginia, and Kodee Ramsey of Breeden, West Virginia; great-grandchildren Trenton Osborne, Kayson Osborne, Oaklynn Osborne, Sydney Keene, Everett Keene, Ellafay Vance; brothers John ( Marie) Lowe, James (Sheri) Baisden, Donald Baisden, Robert Baisden; sisters Shirley ( Ralph) Moore and Edna Alcott; and a host of nieces and nephews.

“Though her smile is gone forever and her hand I cannot touch, I still have so many memories of the one I loved so much. Her memory is now my keepsake with which I’ll never part. God has her in my heart.” Sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Funeral services took place Monday, June 9, 2025, at the House of Prayer in Dingess, West Virginia, with Christopher Keene officiating. Burial followed at the Deskins-Marcum-Meade Cemetery in Breeden, West Virginia.
