INEZ — A Martin County grand jury handed up a dozen indictments Thursday involving eight individuals. Charges range from drug trafficking and theft to DUI and failure to appear in court.

Green Ramey, 54, of Louisa, faces a six-count indictment that includes trafficking in the first degree in a controlled substance (more than 2 grams of methamphetamine), trafficking in the first degree in a controlled substance (less than 10 dosage units of an unspecified Schedule I or II drug), trafficking in the third degree in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 ounces), use or possession of drug paraphernalia, and being a persistent felony offender in the first degree.
According to the indictment, law enforcement caught Ramey with 9.651 grams of methamphetamine, $234 in cash and two digital scales with intent to traffic April 19. He also allegedly possessed four Suboxone strips, 18.5 dosage units of Klonopin (clonazepam), less than 8 ounces of marijuana, a syringe and a pill grinder.
The grand jury contends Ramey is a persistent felony offender due to two prior felony convictions within the last five years. His bond is $10,000.

Herman Endicott Jr., 54, of Inez, is looking at trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree (more than 2 grams of methamphetamine). The indictment alleges law enforcement caught him with 3.62 grams of methamphetamine Aug. 10, 2022. His bond is $10,000.

Marsha Fletcher, 47, of Pilgrim, is accused of theft by unlawful taking over $1,000 in two separate indictments.
In one true bill, she allegedly took a $2,000 diamond ring from Amanda Sweeney.
In another indictment, prosecutors say Fletcher conducted fraudulent transactions totaling $1,935. It also accuses her of stealing approximately $7,210 worth of jewelry and collectible coins from Bruce and Norma Young.
The alleged offenses span from April 2024 to February 2025.
Fletcher is out — or in — on a $5,000 bond for each case.

Richard Michael Maynard, 49, of Inez, stands accused of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs (fourth or subsequent offense) and possession of a prescription controlled substance not in its proper container.
The grand jury states the offenses occurred Jan. 28 and that a fourth or subsequent DUI charge is aggravating circumstances. According to the indictment, Maynard had two naloxone strips that were not in a proper container. Bond: $5,000.
Four individuals are alleged courtroom no-shows. The court reportedly released all four from custody on the condition they would appear for their court dates.

Robert Drenning, 48, of Beauty, is facing a charge of bail jumping in the first degree. He allegedly failed to appear for sentencing May 1. His bond is $5,000.

Ricky L. Goble, 61, of Irvine, is looking at a charge of bail jumping in the first degree. The indictment states he skipped an April 17 sentencing. Bond: $5,000.

Brenton Johnson, 32, of Inez, allegedly missed two sentencing hearings — both May 1. He faces bail jumping in the first degree in two separate indictments. Each comes with a $5,000 bond.

John Slone, 39, of Williamson, West Virginia, is the subject of three indictments charging him with bail jumping in the first degree. He allegedly did not appear for three separate pretrial conferences Feb. 6. Each case carries a $5,000 bond.
