Thelma Sartin-Chafin Parks
1952—2025

Thelma Sartin-Chafin Parks, 72, of Louisa, went home to be with the Lord on May 25, 2025, with her loved ones surrounding her.

She was born Dec. 10, 1952, to the late Willis Sartin and Nannie Jude Sartin.

She is preceded in death by the father of her children, Ernest Chafin, and siblings Harvey Newsome, Willis Sartin, Charles Sartin, Irene Stepp and Belvie Evans.

She was a housewife and cleaned houses for people. Thelma was a Christian of the Baptist faith. She was widowed.

Survivors include Thelma’s two sons, Daniel Chafin of Louisa and Roy (Tara) Jude of Williamson, West Virginia; seven grandchildren, Raven Jude (Anthony), Savannah Bosler (Trey Long), Axel Jude, Sadie Jude, Aleeah Chafin, Nakota Mollett and Dillan Mollett; and brothers Alfred Runyons of Pie, West Virginia, and George Newsome of Huntleyville. She also leaves behind her special four-legged companion, Peaches.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Community Hospice of Ashland for their care and to Sam and Vicki Caudill and Howard Skaggs.

The family will conduct a celebration of life ceremony at a later date. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
