INEZ — Head coach Jason James has a full schedule for the Martin County High School boys basketball team this summer.
The 15th Region All ‘A’ champions are looking to reload after losing six seniors, including three starters, to graduation.
“We lost some guys, but we still have a lot of talent returning,” Coach James said. “Devan Maynard has a summer job, so we will look a little different for the summer. But we will have Bryson Dials with more experience under his belt.”
On Wednesday, the squad will head to Pike Central to get time in on the hardwood.
The Cards will play at Johnson Central on Monday and Tuesday before heading back to Pike County the following night.
Martin County will host a slew of teams June 12 in Inez. Prestonsburg, Knott County, Lawrence County, Johnson Central, Betsy Layne, Magoffin, and Pike Central are on tap for a full day of basketball.
Coach James will take the team to Marshall University for a team camp June 13 and 14.
Martin County will have a day off before heading back to Johnson County for two days in a row.
