Christopher Darrell Meade
1976—2025

Christopher Darrell Meade, age 48, of Inez, passed away May 15, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.

He was born Dec. 31, 1976, to the late John “Jiggin’ John” Meade and Darlene Meade of Hagerhill.

In addition to his father, Christopher is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Carol “Peanut” Harvey and a very special aunt, Rhonda McKenzie.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include Christopher’s loving wife, Danetta (Harvey) Meade; two sons, Braden Meade of Lexington and Aidan Meade of Inez; his father-in-law, Danny (Ida) Harvey of Paintsville; two brothers, Lee (Mary) Meade of Thelma and Jay (Trisha) Meade of Hagerhill; one sister, Shasta (Jason) Lintner of Lexington; brother-in-law, Dale (Melissa) Carey of Williamson, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Ashley Harvey; four nephews, Alexander Meade, Logan Meade, Jacob Lintner and Caden Lintner; two nieces, Olivia Lintner and Serenity Harvey, whom he loved like a daughter; and special family friends Tie and Brooke Alley.

A visitation took place Monday at the Crum Funeral Home in Inez with a church service officiated by Rev. Dr. Dale Carey. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Crum Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
