Wanda Kaye Mills Maynard
1955—2025

Wanda Kaye Mills Maynard, age 69, of Inez, passed away May 12, 2025 at her residence.

Born July 7, 1955 in Inez, she was the daughter of the late Randall and Katherine Jarrell Mills.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Frank Mills, and two sisters, Sue (Glenn) Smith and Joyce Gail Mills.

She is survived by her husband Joe Edward Maynard; two sons, Joe (Tegan) Maynard and Derek Maynard, both of Inez; one daughter, Kelli (Greg) Massengill of Dunn, North Carolina; one brother, Raymond (Mae) Mills of Inez; six sisters, Dolly (Ronnie) Maynard of Georgetown, Mary (James) Hinkle and Rose (Steve) Fraley, both of Inez, Willa (Leslie) Cassady of Clarkville, Tennessee, Millie (Willard) Stanley of Lexington and Ada (Danny) Wallen of Offut; and her sister-in-law, Bessie Mills. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Stephanie Massengill, Christina Massengill, Knox Maynard, Christian Maynard, Rocco Maynard, Ella Kate Massengill, Logan Massengill and Piper Maynard, and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Funeral services will take place Friday, May 16, 2025 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home, Inez, with James Russell Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at the Riverview Memorial Garden in Louisa. Friends may visit the funeral home Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
