INEZ — Destiny Moore of Warfield had the ultimate Mother’s Day moment. The lucky mom of four—Jayde, Caleb, Kiarah and Ashton—was named the winner of the Mountain Citizen’s annual Mother’s Day Giveaway.
The drawing for the winner was live-streamed Monday on the newspaper’s Facebook page—and let us say the winner’s prize did not disappoint.
Moore walked away with a swoon-worthy spring bouquet from Blooms on Main and a curated basket packed with love from a lineup of local businesses.
Blue Light Bargains contributed a stylish Bogg bag, while Paula’s Hair Images added a tumbler and a pair of “mama” earrings. Dairy Drive In sweetened the bundle with a $25 gift certificate. Main Emporium contributed an assortment of sauces and an iPhone watch band.
Cloud 9 Café pitched in with a $25 gift certificate. Smokin’ Hot Novelties and More contributed a makeup bag, massage oil and keychain.
Madison Blue Boutique provided a set of earrings, bracelets, a mug and perfume.
Sun Sisters Tanning and Tiki Bar added a $30 spray tan and a large drink to the mix.
Moore also received two free movie passes from Movies on Main and a dozen colorful macarons from Sugar Momma’s.
The winning mom took home $100 in cash and a variety of other goodies from the Mountain Citizen.
Diane Smith, advertising director for the Mountain Citizen, organizes the Mother’s Day giveaway each year as a way to celebrate local mothers. This year’s contest received over 200 entries.
“We thank all the moms who entered,” Smith said. “Here is to Destiny Moore—and all the moms making magic daily, even without a Bogg bag and bouquet in hand.”
