Martin County Arrest Report

INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:

Jonathan B. Kirk

Jonathan B. Kirk, 48, of Louisa, was arrested Monday on Dans Branch in Pilgrim on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, criminal mischief and terroristic threatening.

Sheriff Kirk responded to a report of a Ford F-150 running over a mailbox on Dans Branch and leaving the scene. While patrolling the area, the sheriff encountered the suspect vehicle, which he said veered close to striking his cruiser.

According to the arrest citation, the suspect exhibited signs of intoxication, including slurred speech and an inability to follow instructions. He reportedly could not perform a sobriety test and made a threatening remark to a resident, stating, “Thanks for calling the law. Now I know where you live.”

Willie Mollette Jr.

Willie Mollette Jr., 61, of Beauty, was arrested Monday on Gordon Hollow Road in Beauty for alcohol intoxication in a public place. Sheriff Kirk responded to a call about Mollette knocking on doors of houses on Gordon Hollow, accusing residents of selling drugs and cursing them. When the sheriff arrived, he found Mollette in his yard with a fire burning. According to the police report, upon questioning, Mollette admitted to knocking on several doors. The sheriff noted Mollette had a strong odor of alcohol and slurred speech, and was stumbling on gravel. Sheriff Kirk attempted to cite Mollette and release him to his girlfriend. However, Mollette would not accept that and became irate.

Linda K. Mollette

Linda K. Mollette, 45, of Pilgrim, was arrested Monday on Dans Branch in Pilgrim on charges of public intoxication of a controlled substance (excludes alcohol) and menacing. Sheriff Kirk stated Mollette was a passenger in a vehicle where the driver was arrested for DUI. He noted she had slurred speech and admitted to using suboxone. The police report states Mollette concealed something in her hand and refused to show it. Instead, she ingested it.

John Cecil Ray Marcum

John Cecil Ray Marcum, 44, of Lovely, was arrested Sunday on Riverfront Road in Lovely on charges of receiving stolen property and operating an off-road vehicle on private/ public land without consent. Sheriff Kirk reported that Marcum was in possession of a game camera that he had taken from private property. The police report states Marcum rode his ATV onto private property knowing he had no right to be there.

Janice Dawn Bowen

Janice Dawn Bowen, 45, of Inez, was arrested Sunday on Main Street on a charge of assault (domestic violence) causing minor injury. Sheriff Kirk reported that Bowen fought with her husband. The husband stated Bowen assaulted him with a metal pipe or bar. Bowen allegedly admitted that she kicked her husband.

Jeffrey D. Bowen

Jeffrey D. Bowen, 59, of Inez, was arrested Sunday on Turkey Creek Road in Inez for assault (domestic violence) causing minor injury. According to Sheriff Kirk, Bowen fought with his wife, who had visible scrapes on both arms and a red spot on her right jaw. Bowen allegedly admitted to slapping her.

Ramey Green

Ramey Green, 44, of Louisa, was arrested Sunday on Route 3 in Inez on charges of public intoxication of a controlled substance (excluding alcohol), two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trafficking in a controlled substance.

Constable Bradford Preece responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle. He found Green slumped in the driver’s seat with the door open. Preece described Green as “severely intoxicated.”

A search of the vehicle yielded approximately 5.9 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 18 and a half clonazepam pills, 9 grams of marijuana, a used syringe, a grinder and digital scales.

Kyle M. Davidson

Kyle M. Davidson, 41, of Louisville, was arrested Friday in Warfield for driving on a DUI-suspended license and giving officer a false identifying information. Deputy J.C. Kirk reported that Davidson drove wreckless around the Martin County Middle School. Upon questioning, the suspect provided law enforcement with a false name.

John Allen, 38, of Debord, was arrested April 17 on Court Street on a criminal complaint.

Dennis Swisher

Dennis Swisher, 71, of Warfield, was arrested April 16 at his home on charges of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, trafficking in a controlled substance (less than 20 dosage units, drug unspecified), trafficking in a controlled substance (more than 10 dosage units of opiates), and possession of marijuana.

Chief Deputy Chris Kidd and Sheriff Kirk conducted a drug investigation at Swisher’s residence in Warfield. Upon arrival, Kidd reported making contact with Swisher, who allegedly admitted to having “seven or eight” hydrocodone pills inside the home.

“He invited us inside,” Kidd wrote in the arrest report. “I noticed a black handgun in a brown holster on the bed.”

During questioning, Swisher allegedly told deputies that the sold 15 gabapentin pills a few days ago and five hydrocodones a week or so ago.

A search of the home, which officers say Swisher consented to, uncovered $12,963 in a closet safe, two rolled marijuana joints on a nightstand, and a small jar of suspected marijuana in a drawer.

In a recorded interview, Swisher reportedly admitted to purchasing up to 500 oxycodone pills around Christmas 2024 for resale. Police say Swisher admitted that he sold them in Martin County at $10 per pill and completed the last sale in late January.

Robert Williamson

Robert Williamson, 66, of Tomahawk, was arrested April 16 in Tomahawk on a warrant charging him with second-degree assault. Deputy Kidd made the arrest.

Justin Marcum

Justin Marcum, 37, of Inez, was arrested April 16 at the Martin County Sheriff’s office on an indictment warrant. Kidd made the arrest.
