INEZ — Haley Robinson and Crayson Lafferty are the Tommy’s Auto Sales Players of the Week.

Robinson faced the final inning with a tie score in the first round of the All ‘A’ on April 9 at Betsy Layne.

With the bases loaded and two outs, the slugger stepped into a dinger that passed the outfield fence for a grand slam and a 12-8 Lady Cardinal win.

She went 4-for-5 with a double, two singles and the grand slam to drive in three RBIs. She crossed home plate three times.

Robinson scored a run and hit a single versus Portland Christian in Tennessee. Against Wahama, she hit 2-3.

Lafferty hit the Wendy’s 4-for-4 in a 19-11 win over Betsy Layne on Saturday for the MCHS baseball team.

The slugger knocked a double-bagger twice. He belted out two singles and drove in three of his Cardinal teammates.

“Bones” smacked the only hit for Martin County in the All ‘A’ Classic against Pikeville on April 7.
