Martin County Middle School squeaks past Pikeville 6-5

PIKEVILLE — Martin County Middle School softball traveled to Pikeville and brought home a 6-5 win on April 7.

Fifth-grader Harper Runyon came in clutch when she clobbered a hit with bases loaded to score four of the Lady Cardinal’s six runs.

On April 8 the squad hosted Magoffin County. With temperatures nearing freezing, the Lady Cards fell 12-5.

Zoe Sammons, Kenadi Fannin, Harleigh Maynard, Harper Runyon, and Bri Muncy all crossed home plate.
