Martin County arrest report

INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:

Charles Ray Crum

Charles Ray Crum, 42, of Debord, was arrested Sunday on Setser Branch in Debord on a warrant. Special Deputy J.C. Kirk served the warrant. He remains in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center under a $10,000 bond.

Jackie Blackburn

Jackie Blackburn, 60, of Inez, was arrested Sunday on Coldwater Road in Inez on a warrant. Deputy J.C. Kirk served the warrant.

Brian Runyon

Brian Runyon, 53, of Williamson, West Virginia, was arrested Sunday on charges of possession of a controlled substance first degree (drug unspecified), public intoxication-controlled substance (excludes alcohol) and failure to appear. Constable Bowen made the arrest.

Robert Williamson

Robert Williamson, 43, of Debord, was arrested Thursday on Crum Branch on a bench warrant.

Ricky Sartin

Ricky Sartin, 60, of Beauty, was arrested April 9 on Gordon Hollow Road in Beauty and charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000.

According to Sheriff Kirk, the arrest followed an anonymous tip alleging Sartin’s involvement in the cutting and theft of communications wire that occurred around 3 a.m. Sunday, April 6 on Gordon Hollow. Sartin initially denied any involvement but allowed the sheriff to search the property, the report says.

During the search, Sheriff Kirk found aluminum casing in an outbuilding. He later discovered 71 pounds of stripped copper concealed inside a pillowcase in the house.

Sartin was arrested again Sunday (April 13) on Gordon Hollow Road on a bench warrant for court. Deputy J.C. Kirk served the warrant.

Kendall Sartin

Kendall Sartin, 25, of Beauty, was arrested April 9 on Route 40 in Beauty on charges of fourth-degree assault (minor injury) and being a fugitive from another state.

According to Sheriff Kirk, Sartin allegedly threw his cellphone during an argument with his grandmother, striking her and causing a one-inch gash above her left eye. Sartin reportedly told authorities he became angry during the dispute and threw the phone but did not intend to hit her.

The grandmother was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Christopher Marcum

Christopher Marcum, 49, of Inez, was arrested April 8 on Bowen Lane in Inez on a bench warrant from Pike District Court. Chief Deputy Chris Kidd served the warrant.

John Allen

John Allen, 38, of Debord, was arrested April 8 at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on an indictment warrant. Deputy Kidd served the warrant. Deputy Kidd served the warrant.

Joshua Scott

Joshua Scott, 38, of Debord, was arrested April 8 at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on an indictment warrant. Deputy Kidd served the warrant.

Joe Evans

Joe Evans, 51, of Inez, was arrested April 8 at Inez Pawn Shop on a bench warrant for Martin District Court. Deputy Kidd made the arrest.

Samuel Porter

Samuel Porter, 29, of Debord, was arrested April 8 on Court Street in Inez on an indictment warrant. Deputy Tash served the warrant.

Harlan Jude

Harlan Jude, 54, of Pilgrim, was arrested April 8 in Inez on an indictment warrant. Deputy Billy Wells served the warrant.

Dennis Ray Scott

Dennis Ray Scott, 46, of Pilgrim, was arrested April 7 on Meathouse Road in Pilgrim for first-degree wanton endangerment-discharge of a firearm and two counts of terroristic threatening. Constable Bradford Preece made the arrest with backup from Sheriff Kirk.

Charles Wallace

Charles Wallace, 59, of Tomahawk, was arrested April 7 on a charge of second-degree terroristic threatening. He is under a $5,000 bond with a court date of April 17.

Edward Lincoln Holshue

Edward Lincoln Holshue, 54, of Inez, was arrested April 7 on a charge of violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO. Deputy Cody Tash made the arrest.

Amos Evans

Amos Evans, 49, of Warfield, was arrested April 7 on Hode Road on a bench warrant for court. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest.

Ance Matthew Marcum

Ance Matthew Marcum, 38, of Lovely, was arrested April 5 at Zip Zone in Lovely on a fugitive from another state warrant. Deputy J.C. Kirk made the arrest.

Marlana J. Maynard

Marlana J. Maynard, 46, of Tomahawk, was arrested April 4 on Blacklog Road in Inez for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance (unspecified).

According to Deputy Kidd, he responded to a report of a person passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle along Blacklog Road. When he arrived, he found Maynard slumped over in the driver’s seat with her eyes closed and the engine still running. After knocking on the window several times, the deputy said Maynard eventually woke up.

She reportedly had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Maynard allegedly told the deputy there were pills in the vehicle. A search revealed two gabapentin pills and 17 clonazepam pills, according to the report.

Maynard also reportedly told the officer she was unable to perform a balance sobriety test. She did submit to a horizontal gaze nystagmus test, which showed six out of eight indicators of impairment, police said.

Andrea Paige Caudill

Andrea Paige Caudill, 25, of Auxier, was arrested April 3 on a warrant for court.

Gary Dean Thomas

Gary Dean Thomas, 45, of Paintsville, was arrested April 1 on a warrant for court.

Amanda L. Helton

Amanda L. Helton, 43, of Inez, was arrested Monday on a bench warrant by Officer Salyer of Magoffin County.

Martin Cline

Martin Cline, 61, of Lovely, was arrested April 6 for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, trafficking in a controlled substance first degree (over 4 grams cocaine), reckless driving and drug paraphernalia-buy/possession. Kentucky State Police Trooper Wright made the arrest.

Sherry Horn-Gordon

Sherry Horn-Gordon, 48, of Inez, was arrested April 6 on charges of trafficking in controlled substance first degree (over 4 grams cocaine) and drug paraphernalia-buy/possession. KSP Trooper Wright made the arrest.

Larry Joe Horn

Larry Joe Horn, 57, was arrested April 3 on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a substance, license to be in possession, possession of a controlled substance first degree (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia-buy/possession, failure to wear seat belts, failure to produce insurance card, no registration receipt and obstructing a highway. Trooper Wright made the arrest.
