PILGRIM — A 46-year-old Pilgrim man remains in jail after allegedly firing gunshots at a juvenile and threatening to shoot another, according to law enforcement officials.
Dennis Scott faces charges of wanton endangerment involving the discharge of a firearm, along with two counts of terroristic threatening.
Authorities say Scott fired multiple rounds at a juvenile April 7 along Meathouse Road. Minutes later, he allegedly threatened to shoot a second juvenile and made threats of physical harm toward an adult woman.
According to a warrant filed in the case, Scott is a convicted felon and legally prohibited from possessing firearms.
Witnesses reported seeing him remove two guns from his residence following the incident, the warrant states.
Martin County Constable Bradford Preece with backup from Martin County Sheriff John Kirk executed the arrest warrant at approximately 10:41 p.m. on the same day.
