1958—2025
Garnet Ann (Justice) Fitchpatrick, 67, of Kermit, West Virginia, passed away peacefully April 4, 2025, at Pikeville Medical Center.
She was raised by Margret Ann Finley and the late J.K. Finley.
Garnet is preceded in death by her father, J.K. Finley, and her sister, Jacqueline Kelly Finley.
She is survived by her beloved mother, Margret Ann Finley; her devoted husband, Lional Fred Fitchpatrick; her sister, Jamie K. Finley Ivey; and her brother, Jim Finley (Brandie).
Garnet was the proud and loving mother of Nathan Bevins (Erin), Noah Bevins, Sara Puckett (Greg Stanley), Andrew Bevins, Emily Springer (Kevin) and Lydia Perry (Keith). She was also a cherished Mamaw to her grandchildren: Grace and Gabrielle Bevins, Donavon and Kobe Puckett, Conor Stanley, Miley and Darcie Bevins, Kenadi and Everlee Springer, and Lacey, Lindsey and Levi Perry. She also had a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved like her own, each one holding a special place in her heart.
Throughout her life, Garnet devoted herself to caring for others in countless ways. She lived a life full of compassion and love. But the roles she treasured most were being a mother, a wife and a Mamaw. Her love for her family was deep and unwavering, and her happiest moments were spent at the beach surrounded by her grandchildren and loved ones.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, April 8, 2025, with burial following at Newsome Ridge Cemetery in Naugatuck, West Virginia.
Garnet’s warmth, strength and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
