Davis commits to KCU

INEZ — Martin County 3-point specialist Peyton Davis has verbally committed to continuing his basketball career at Kentucky Christian University.

Davis will sign his letter of intent on April 15 at 2 p.m. in the auditorium of Martin County High School.

He received offers from Harrodsburg, Alice Lloyd, Bluefield, UIC of Florida, and Spalding University. He had interest from multiple other schools.

The Cardinal guard was a leader on the floor and hounded other teams on defense.

Davis led the team in his senior campaign with 89 made 3-pointers on 48.9% from behind the arc.

He averaged 17 points and 4.5 rebounds per game on 56.6% shooting from the floor.
