Violet Leona (Kirk) White
1959—2025
Violet Leona (Kirk) White, 65, went to her final home to be with her Lord and Savior, her mom and dad, and her sister whom she missed dearly on March 23, 2025.
Violet was born June 17, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Ernest Ray and Delphia Jean (Muncy) Kirk. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Mary Kirk Messer, one brother Ernest Ray Kirk Jr., paternal grandparents Charley E. and Maxie (Sammons) Kirk, maternal grandparents Burley and Violet (Marcum) Muncy, brother-in-law Bruce (Bojangles) Harris, and many other family members.
Leona was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed visiting her home church, the Breeden Church of God. She was most happy when she was with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the lights of her life. Leona had a passion for shopping and really contributed to the Mountain Dew industry as this was her favorite drink. She spent a lot of her younger years making sure all the kids around her were having the time of their lives, even if their parents disagreed! If you could hear the stories, you would understand the humor! At the end of the day, she loved her family and enjoyed the time she spent with them!
She will be greatly missed and leaves behind her only child P.D. (Chanda) White of Monroe, North Carolina. She also leaves behind four grandsons, Jordan (Makayla) White, Khaine Shrout, Jeremy (Sabrina) White, and Kadence Starnes; two granddaughters, Apple and Asia Balducci; five great-grandchildren, Jace who was her heart and soul, Myla, Everly, Easton and Emick whom she loved dearly. She also leaves behind three sisters, Maxie (William) Collins of Louisa, Sharon Kirk Harris of Ulysses and Kimberly (Steve) Mann of Huntington, West Virginia. Also left to cherish her memory is the father and grandfather of her child and grandchildren Mitchell White; one special niece Michelle (Chris) Stacy; many nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; very special friends Gary Hatfield, Doris Mixon, Samantha Calafatis and the ladies from her apartment complex who were great neighbors to her.
Funeral were conducted March 27, 2025, at the Breeden Church of God with Pastor Philip Perry and Micah Marcum officiating. Burial followed at the Charley Kirk Cemetery in Breeden, West Virginia. Pallbearers included William (Johnny) Collins, David Collins, Keith Marcum, Micah Marcum, Khaine Shrout, Joshua Mann and Chris Stacy.
