INEZ — Eden brought home the A, B, and C championships on March 26 at IES. The following is a recap of last week’s action:
A-team championship – Eden defeated Inez in three sets to be crowned the Martin County elementary volleyball champion.
In the first set, Kylie Wright and Braylee Horn reeled off a combined 11 points to capture the win 21-14.
Inez battled back to win the second set 21-19 after Gwyn Chafin scored three serves in a row to send the match to a tiebreaker.
Eden squeaked by to win the third set 15-13 after Wright sent the final serve over with ice in her veins.
A-team play in – Inez won the first set over Warfield 21-5 behind Kyleigh Harmon scoring eight in a row and Harper Runyon firing over six. Hope Dials scored the final three.
Gwyn Chafin served nine straight to propel Inez to a 21-16 second set win.
Mika Marcum scored eight for the Red Devils.

B-team championship – Eden defeated Inez in two sets to win the final match.
Aubry Wilson served eight in a row in the first set winning 18-8 over Inez. Indian Layla Cline scored four for IES.
Eden won the second set 18-4.
B-team play in– Inez’s Kyleigh Harmon put on an impressive performance sending all 18 of Inez’s points over as the first server for her team to win the first set 18-0.
McKenna Fletcher scored four points for the Red Devils and Coralina Spence scored two but the Indians prevailed with an 18-14 win. Caydance scored five for the Indians.

C-team championship – Eden defeated Inez in three sets to be crowned the Martin County elementary volleyball champion.
The Wildcats won the first set 15-13 before Inez came back to win the second 15-3. Chloe Maynard stepped up to line to serve four in a row to capture the title for Eden.
C-team play in– Inez defeated Warfield 15-13, 15-12 to advance to the championship. Emily Mollette sent the final three points to win the first set. Kenna Hale of Inez scored five.
Bella Maynard of Warfield scored five in a row.
Kenna Hale sent the first six serves over to give Inez the lead. Scarlett Hursh and Carolyn Dalton sent four each over for Warfield but the Indians moved on.
