
FRANKFORT — The Kentucky Infrastructure Authority (KIA) board of directors will meet Thursday, April 3, at 1 p.m. EDT. The session will take place on the third floor of the KIA offices at 100 Airport Road in Frankfort.
Board Chair Matt Sawyers will preside over the meeting, which the public can view live on YouTube. The livestream link is youtube.com/watch?v=Kz7J82T0bZ8. Full meeting materials are available at kia.ky.gov.
The agenda includes the approval of minutes from the March 6 meeting and board action on several new projects. These include proposed funding for water infrastructure improvements in Clark, Oldham and Boyd counties.
Specifically, the board will consider approval of: a Fund B loan of up to $841,383 to the East Clark County Water District; a Fund C loan of up to $6.1 million to the Oldham County Water District; and an amendment to a Fund F loan to the Cannonsburg Water District increasing the total loan amount to more than $2.3 million.
In addition, the board will take up a resolution authorizing the issuance of obligations to reimburse capital expenditures made by governmental agencies through KIA-supported loans.
KIA executive director Sandy Williams will deliver her regular report to the board.
The next board meeting is tentatively set for Thursday, May 1.
KIA provides a financing mechanism for the planning, design and construction of local public works projects. According to a KIA news release, information about the authority, drinking and wastewater systems, planning and loans, a catalog of existing and past projects, mapping, the Water Resource Information System, and previous board actions exists online at kia.ky.gov.
